Hello everybody ! Welcome back to Daily Dictation 5.

But first of all, you need the answer for Daily Dictation 4. Let's listen one more time.

If Wale Smith said it like that, it will be easy. But he says it a little faster, so let's practice.

Now, very important pronunciation rule, it's for cancellation and it works especially with American English.

There are three strong sounds, the strong sounds are the "S, N and L".

And there are three weak sounds. The weak sounds are "d, t, and th".

This means if there is "d, t and th" next to "S, N and L", many times this sound is canceled, so you know the expression. "You and I". We don't say "You andie", we say "you an die".

The "n" cancels the "d", and we connect the /n/ sound.

International, that's perfect. But usually we say "in~~(t)~~ernational". The 'n' kills the 't'.

... "Don't ever" --> "Donever"

let means allow. Don't allow somebody tell you. If somebody tell you something. Stop.

GRAMMATICALLY: "somebody" should be "anybody" ("not" goes with "any") Never mind

Once again. ... We gonna stop. But listen to the words something carefully. He doesn't say something, he says son'n.

And that's interesting, in daily English.

You can close your lips. So it's basically like an 'm'. But we write it with an 'n'.

This is a old movie. It's kind of funny, kind of scary. The movie title is They Live.

And the line is really famous, this is very popular, it's a kind of funny line.

我听出来就是 a ，本应该是 an。should have been "an" instead of "a"。所以，不用太纠结 a an。不用故意去纠错... 口语上能听懂，就不用浪费时间，a an 也不影响表达，只是形式。
